Wiesław Bartkowski

Wiesław Bartkowski is the head of the Creative Coding Postgraduate Studies at the Design Faculty of the School of Form, SWPS University of Social Sciences and Humanities. He is an interaction designer who researches complex systems. He specializes in the research and implementation of projects that cross information technology, social sciences, and design, simulating and analyzing techno-social systems. His main field of activity is complex systems. He has conducted research as part of the “Future and Emerging Technologies” program, and developed tools used by the UN and West Point. His scientific visualizations and interactive installations have been presented at the Museum of Modern Art, the Centre for Contemporary Art, the BOZAR Gallery, Artothek Munich and the Nowy Theatre, among others. He has collaborated with the Florida Atlantic University, Ammerman Center for Art and Technology in Connecticut, Institute for Scientific Interchange Foundation Torino, Columbia University and the Institute of Computer Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences. Recently, he has been most fascinated by the “physicality of programming.”
